The Purpose of Legacy Milestones

is to reveal a strategy for Kingsland to impact the generations through the home.

Walk the Path of Legacy Milestones!

Spiritual Maturity is a lifelong process. It begins the day you are born and continues throughout life. Equipping the generations means that as we grow, we lead the next generation spiritually. Leading begins at home with family.

At Kingsland, we believe the church and family should work together to raise the next generation of Christians. We see discipleship as a two-sided coin: church and family. We believe God designed parents to be the uniquely perfect, primary faith trainers of their children.

If the church and family are to work together to raise up the next generation of believers, we need a common path to walk on. We call this the path of Legacy Milestones. Everything we do at Kingsland helps people mature along the path.

As the primary faith trainer in your family, you have the God-given responsibility to have faith talks with your family, celebrate Milestones, and capture God-moments along the way. No one can take your place along the Legacy Path. Will you join us?

IT’S OUR DESIRE TO REACH KATY FOR CHRIST ONE HOME AT A TIME.
According to Deuteronomy 6 and Psalm 78

God intended the family to be the primary vehicle for the passing on of Christian doctrine and life application to the next generation.

Each year in April we celebrate our graduating seniors with a dinner on Friday night and then a church-wide celebration on Sunday during our services. Friday’s dinner consists of a walk down memory lane with our seniors as well as a time for parents and family to read letters of blessing over their students. This is a powerful weekend for families as they prepare to see their kids step in to their next stage of life.

7
Milestone Seven

Biblical Marriage

Ministry Department: Student Ministry & Adult Ministry

Target Audience: Students, Engaged Couples, Married Couples

Family Event:

We celebrate biblical marriage that reflects the image of God in a variety of ways as a family. We begin teaching children the meaning of biblical marriage at a young age – having conversations about God’s plan to use marriage to reflect His image. Engaged couples prepare for marriage through Marriage Mentoring. Married couples seek to grow their marriage through authentic community with other couples and Marriage Mentoring as well.

Parent Training:

A perfect marriage does not exist but we can teach our students what a biblical marriage is, regardless of our circumstances. We want to help equip you as you lead your student to develop a biblical view of marriage. The way you view marriage, your prayers for your children and your example lead your children towards a biblical view of marriage.
