Seeking the Kingdom: A Study of the Sermon on the Mount
September 5 – December 5 • 7:00 - 8:00 PM • Room: Worship Center

Early in His ministry, Jesus took his followers to the top of a mountain and began teaching them what life was supposed to be like in the kingdom. He was establishing what it means to seek that kingdom first.  We call the speech He gave "The Sermon on the Mount." It is found in Matthew 5 - 7.  The purpose of this study will be to look closely at what Jesus says so that we can understand how best to live as His followers. Teacher: Dr. Steve Jones

Mom Set Free

September 5 – October 17 • 6:30 - 8:00 pm Room: L256

As moms, we’re under constant pressure. We have to get it right in all areas of life—work, home, family, and faith—because our children’s futures hinge on our ability to perfectly orchestrate the present.

But those impossible standards leave us oscillating between worry, fear, anger, and shame. They threaten to steal all the wonder from parenting, life, and our personal relationship with God. Leaders: Bobbie Kerr and Pam Shaw. Cost: $13

No Other Gods  (Women Only)
The Unrivaled Pursuit of Christ by Kelly Minter
September 5 – October 24• 6:30 - 8:00 pm • Room: L244

Often, idols are obvious—money, power, fame. But subtler idols can sometimes take the form of sweet loved ones, Instagramable interiors, and busy seasons of ministry.

But if your heart is prioritizing any of those pursuits before God, they are taking up space meant for Him alone. In this 8-session study, learn to identify the functional gods you are serving daily and the lies they tell. Only when you learn to dethrone modern-day idols can you pursue a deeper, more meaningful relationship with Jesus. Leader: Tava Dalton. Cost: $13.

How do you live in a culture where the worldview conflicts with Christianity? Learn from Paul as he presents his beliefs to the most powerful court in Athens and settles among the Greco-Romans of Corinth, who valued wealth and class, worship of multiple gods, and decadent pleasure seeking above all else. In this sixteenth volume of That The World May Know, discover how to live in your own Athens or Corinth - a dechristianized Western world - in a way that glorifies God.  Six week study.
