28-Week Prayer Guide

gratitude

One of the quickest ways to enter into a posture of prayer is by giving thanks to the Lord. Gratitude is more than just a feeling. It is speaking back to God, the truth about His character and what we have seen Him do. We can be thankful in the valleys just like we can be on the mountain tops. Throughout the New Testament letters, we read words of thankfulness and gratitude for the work of God and the people of God, and our hearts are stirred up and encouraged. I myself, thank God for you. I am so grateful that you are faithfully entering into these weeks of prayer, knowingly dependent on the giver. As we enter into this week of Gratitude, I have no doubt of the heart work that God will do and the joy that will come out of it.

Week 7
Day 6

April 19

“I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, on the sea and everything in them say, Blessing and honor and glory and power be to the one seated on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

— Revelation 5:13

REMINDER: We are not at the end of the story yet. The book of Revelation reminds us that Jesus reigns. He is due all honor and glory and one day, everyone will bow down to Him, and all will be made right. We serve today, a risen Savior who we also worship as King.

TODAY’S PRAYER:

–  Praise the Lord that he is the one sitting on the throne. Praise Him that he is good and just.

–  Thank the Lord for His good plans and that we can look forward to a day when there is no more pain, sorrow or sin and we are gathered around His throne worshiping him.

–  Pray for those around you who don’t yet know Jesus as Lord and King. Pray for open eyes and hearts.
