Go Beyond At Home

28-Week Prayer Guide

rr updated picture

Church Family,

Thank you for joining me on the journey of 28 weeks of prayer as we seek to “Go Beyond at Home” here at Kingsland.

This is an incredible time in the life of Kingsland as we seek God through 28 weeks of intentional, guided prayer, asking Him to move in our hearts, home, church and beyond.

Our Pastoral Staff are writing specific prayers each week to lead us into a deeper dependence on God. Our prayer is that God will do a work in our hearts through these 28 Weeks of Prayer and prepare us, help us understand His vision for Kingsland, and do what only He can do through the people of Kingsland!

Blessings,
Pastor Ryan

NOTE:

The focus for Week 4 of our 28 Weeks is about trusting the LORD. If we think about it, there are probably times that we struggle with trusting the LORD, and there are probably areas of our lives that are easier to trust God than other areas. Trusting the LORD is about our relationship with God and that means that God will help us trust Him. One of most powerful ways God helps us deepen our trust in Him is through reading and mediating on Scripture. To begin our 4th week of prayer, let’s ask God to grow our trust in Him as we read the following verses and reflect on His faithfulness!

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His faithful love endures forever (Psalm 136:1).

My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2).

The LORD is the one who will go before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or abandon you. Do not be afraid or discouraged (Deuteronomy 31:8).

God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his one and only Son into the world so that we might live through him. Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:9-10).

Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens in Christ (Ephesians 1: 3).

Week 4
Day 6

March 29

LORD my God, you have done many things – your wondrous works and plans for us; none can compare with you. If I were to report and speak of them, they are more than can be told.

— Psalm 40:5

REMINDER: In 1977, a group of men and women stepped out in faith to start a new church, Kingsland Baptist Church. These men and women did not see what God had planned for this new church, but they followed God into the unknown and put their trust in Him. Because of God’s faithfulness through these men and women, thousands of lives have been transformed by the power of the Gospel. Trusting God with all our heart will lead to deep intimacy with God. We will experience “true fulfillment in Jesus Christ.” God will transform our hearts and our homes through His Spirit within us. But there is more – much more. God will do wondrous works that are more than can be told through imperfect, broken men and women who choose to trust Him.

TODAY’S PRAYER:

–  Thank God for the men and women who trusted God in 1977 and His faithfulness over the past 47 years.

–  Pray for God to continue to do wondrous works through Kingsland to reach people with the Gospel.

–  Pray for God to give you a heart to share the hope of Jesus with others and to pray for those who do not yet know Him.

–  Pray for God to give us wisdom and direction as we seek His plans for our new Worship Center.
