Go Beyond At Home

28-Week Prayer Guide

rr updated picture

Church Family,

Thank you for joining me on the journey of 28 weeks of prayer as we seek to “Go Beyond at Home” here at Kingsland.

This is an incredible time in the life of Kingsland as we seek God through 28 weeks of intentional, guided prayer, asking Him to move in our hearts, home, church and beyond.

Our Pastoral Staff are writing specific prayers each week to lead us into a deeper dependence on God. Our prayer is that God will do a work in our hearts through these 28 Weeks of Prayer and prepare us, help us understand His vision for Kingsland, and do what only He can do through the people of Kingsland!

The focus for Week 4 of our 28 Weeks is about trusting the LORD. If we think about it, there are probably times that we struggle with trusting the LORD, and there are probably areas of our lives that are easier to trust God than other areas. Trusting the LORD is about our relationship with God and that means that God will help us trust Him. One of most powerful ways God helps us deepen our trust in Him is through reading and mediating on Scripture. To begin our 4th week of prayer, let’s ask God to grow our trust in Him as we read the following verses and reflect on His faithfulness!

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His faithful love endures forever (Psalm 136:1).

My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2).

The LORD is the one who will go before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or abandon you. Do not be afraid or discouraged (Deuteronomy 31:8).

God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his one and only Son into the world so that we might live through him. Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:9-10).

Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens in Christ (Ephesians 1: 3).

Week 4
Day 3

March 26

I waited patiently for the LORD, and he turned to me and heard my cry for help. He brought me up from a desolate pit, out of the muddy clay, and set my feet on a rock, making my steps secure.

— Psalm 40:1-2

REMINDER: Waiting on the LORD when we are going through trials, suffering, or praying for a breakthrough in our lifeor in a loved one’s life is not easy. The enemy knows that we are vulnerable in the waiting, so he lies to us with the goal of causing us to give up on praying and trusting God. Remember the enemy wants to devour us to take us out. But God. God hears our cry for help, and He delivers us. We can trust God in the waiting by remembering how He delivered us in the past and choosing to trust in His faithfulness to deliver us again.

–  Ask God to remind you of some of the times in your life when you cried out to Him in prayer, and He delivered you. Take a few minutes to reflect and thank God for how He has changed your life.

–  Are you currently praying for a breakthrough in your life or in a loved one’s life? If so, are you struggling to trust God in this season of waiting? Take a few minutes to share with God your heart – your feelings and ask Him to help you trust Him. Ask God to deliver you from any fear, doubt, or despair and to give you His peace, hope, and joy as you wait.

–  Ask God to bring to mind someone who is in a season of waiting. Pray for this person and if appropriate write them a note and let them know you are praying for them.
