We are just days away from the annual transition of starting the new school year. This is a meaningful change in season for so many in our community but specifically teachers and students. This week, we will focus on praying specifically for our teachers and students as they begin this new season.

Day 7
August 3
“I have spoken these things to you while I remain with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.“
— John 14:25-26
REMINDER: Have you ever felt jealous of the disciples who had Jesus with them daily to ask questions? As Jesus was nearing the end of His time on earth, He encouraged the disciples that it was actually to their benefit that He left so that the Holy Spirit could come (John 16:7-9). Today we have free and unlimited access to the same Holy Spirit promised to the disciples. As the new school year begins, what a great reminder that, as followers of Christ, we have the presence of God with us wherever we go—school, work, ballfields, or home!
TODAY’S PRAYER:
– Thank God for the presence, comfort, guidance, and conviction of His Holy Spirit.
– Ask the Holy Spirit what truth from God’s Word He wants to remind you of today.
– Pray for students, teachers, and all of us as believers to be aware of the Holy Spirit’s prompting and work in our lives.
