28-Week Prayer Guide
Teachers and Students
We are just days away from the annual transition of starting the new school year. This is a meaningful change in season for so many in our community but specifically teachers and students. This week, we will focus on praying specifically for our teachers and students as they begin this new season.
Week 22
Day 1
July 28
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.“
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
REMINDER: It can be easy to fall into the flawed way of thinking that tries to separate the “sacred” and “secular” in our lives—the tendency to view only certain portions of our day or week as important to God. Today’s verse reminds us that, as followers of Christ, everything we do is an opportunity to bring glory to God. As the new school year begins and schedules get busier for many families, it’s important to remember God’s presence in our everyday responsibilities. Whether we’re shopping for groceries, finishing homework, or doing chores, we can bring glory to God and worship him through our attitudes and excellence with which we work.
TODAY’S PRAYER:
– Ask God to help you be aware of His presence today—even in the seemingly mundane tasks.
– Pray for the perspective to see the upcoming busyness of the school year as new opportunities to experience and glorify God rather than distractions away from His presence.
– Pray for students and teachers to begin even now to get a vision for ways they can glorify God during the school day.
