This week we will be focusing our collective prayers as a church on reaching the lost with the good news of Jesus Christ. This is one of the greatest functions of the body of Christ and in an incredible display of mercy and grace, God uses the saved to reach the unsaved through the work of the Holy Spirit. He alone gets the glory for this work, and it is only by his work in us that we can participate. This work is ongoing, and the need is great, but we serve a mighty God who delights in the lost being found.

REMINDER: The truth of scripture doesn’t have to be complicated or overly complex. Sometimes the simple truths of the Bible are the most powerful. Be reminded today that Jesus came to earth with a heavenly purpose: to seek and save the lost! What an important and foundational understanding of the doctrine of Christ. Let us continue to pray for that purpose to come to fruition today.
TODAY’S PRAYER:
– Thank God today for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
– Thank Jesus for his willingness to serve His Father’s will.
– Ask God to include you in His plan to seek and save the lost.
