Go Beyond At Home
28-Week Prayer Guide
our volunteer leaders
Throughout the New Testament Jesus spoke about the importance of service and the use of one’s talents. This week we will focus on how, as followers of Christ, we have the opportunity to use our gifts and talents to demonstrate the love of Jesus to others. The many Kingsland ministries allow it’s members to express their love and support of others by volunteering their time and talents. As you read this week’s devotionals may God speak to your heart about how He can use you in His church.
Week 17
Day 3
June 25
“And the King will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.“
— Matthew 25:40
REMINDER: In Matthew 25: 31-46, Jesus tells a parable to make the point that by serving others we are serving God. He shares several examples of service including feeding the hungry, providing a drink to the thirsty, a place to sleep for the homeless and clothing for the naked. He emphasizes the importance of service by saying what you did for the least of these, those in need, you did for Me. When we invest in the needs of others, we serve Him.
TODAY’S PRAYER:
– Pray that you will answer the call of God to volunteer and serve the “least of these” within the body of the church.
– Pray that God will open your eyes to the needs of people in the community and for the opportunity to volunteer in meeting those needs.
– Thank God for the provisions He has provided you and how you can use those provisions to bless others that are less fortunate.
