Throughout the New Testament Jesus spoke about the importance of service and the use of one’s talents. This week we will focus on how, as followers of Christ, we have the opportunity to use our gifts and talents to demonstrate the love of Jesus to others. The many Kingsland ministries allow it’s members to express their love and support of others by volunteering their time and talents. As you read this week’s devotionals may God speak to your heart about how He can use you in His church.

“Little children, let us not love in word or speech, but in action and in truth.“
— 1 John 3:18
REMINDER: In 1 John 3:16, John writes how Jesus expressed His love by taking the ultimate action of laying down His life for all people. As believers we should be willing to follow the example of Jesus by putting our expression of love for others into action. Putting love into action can sometimes be difficult because it may require a personal sacrifice. However, enabled by God’s Spirit and remembering His love for us we can make that sacrifice and put our love into action.
TODAY’S PRAYER:
– Thank God for the action He took in showing His love by sacrificing His son for each of us.
– Pray that God will show you how to take the “next step” of putting love into action.
– Thank God for the times others have shown their love for you through their actions.
