Go Beyond At Home

28-Week Prayer Guide

Friendship is truly one of God’s blessings to mankind. These verses highlight the importance of loyal, supportive friendships, the value of heartfelt advice, and the impact of community in both joyous and challenging times.

The idea of community comes from the sense of responsibility we have for each other. In the bible, God encourages us to take care of our brothers and sisters whether they are friends or enemies. We must remember the importance of maintaining the connection with each other and focusing on building a community of love in words, actions, and prayers.

Week 14
Day 7

June 8

“Jesus continued going around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness. When he saw the crowds, he felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.’

—  Matthew 9:35-38

REMINDER: One of my favorite passages to pray over students and over our church is Matthew 9:35-38. The church is an army of saints that have the ability to change the neighborhoods and cities where they reside. Jesus’ compassion led him to exhort the disciples to see that there are so many people who need to hear the Gospel, but that there weren’t enough workers. The encouraging news is we don’t carry the weight of ministry – the Lord does! He is the Lord of the Harvest. But he does ask that we are all obedient to serving and stepping up to meet the needs of our people!

– There are so many upcoming needs in ministry at Kingsland: from VBS in two weeks to leaders for children’s and student ministry in the Fall and more. Pray for God to lead you in the right place to serve in the coming weeks!

–  Please pray for our students who will be going out on mission trips in July. Pray that the Lord would use them mightily to bring the Gospel truth to every place they step foot.

–  Please close by praying for the Kingsland Student Ministry staff (Joe, Chris, Kayla, Jenny, Amber, and Yolanda). Pray that we will be refreshed after Kamp and lead well through the summer and beyond! Thank you!
