Friendship is truly one of God’s blessings to mankind. These verses highlight the importance of loyal, supportive friendships, the value of heartfelt advice, and the impact of community in both joyous and challenging times.
The idea of community comes from the sense of responsibility we have for each other. In the bible, God encourages us to take care of our brothers and sisters whether they are friends or enemies. We must remember the importance of maintaining the connection with each other and focusing on building a community of love in words, actions, and prayers.

“Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.“
— Romans 12:2
REMINDER: Today, we head home from Kamp. It’s been a long week, for sure, but hopefully God has touched every single student and leader’s heart in some way during the week. Romans 12:2 is a great verse that encapsulates a lot of what we’ve been seeking to drive home with our students this week. It’s a great verse for you to memorize as well and take to heart. Our minds are easily conformed to the philosophies and thinking of our current time, but through God’s Word, prayer, and the work of the Holy Spirit, we can enjoy more union with God and discernment for His will in our lives.
TODAY’S PRAYER:
– Sit quietly today for five minutes and seek to give God your mind. It might be difficult to sit for five minutes without your mind wandering but meditate on Romans 12:2 to help you.
– Please pray for the seeds that were sown this week in the lives of students to take root, grow, and produce a crop 100 fold (Matthew 13:8)!
– Please ask the Lord to help students transition back into their home lives well. Pray that parents and families would be excited to see them again and bless them when they return. Pray that students would share with their families and friends what they experienced this week at Kamp.
