Go Beyond At Home
28-Week Prayer Guide
KAMP
Friendship is truly one of God’s blessings to mankind. These verses highlight the importance of loyal, supportive friendships, the value of heartfelt advice, and the impact of community in both joyous and challenging times.
The idea of community comes from the sense of responsibility we have for each other. In the bible, God encourages us to take care of our brothers and sisters whether they are friends or enemies. We must remember the importance of maintaining the connection with each other and focusing on building a community of love in words, actions, and prayers.
Week 14
Day 3
June 4
“For all those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear. Instead, you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father!’“
— Romans 8:14-15
REMINDER: Adoption is such a beautiful picture of the Gospel. This is because it has to do with a new identity. When we are adopted into the family of God, we enjoy all the blessings and privileges, and love of the Father. God’s family is where freedom is enjoyed. Sadly, the enemy constantly tries to drag us back into slavery and the old self by keeping us from believing God for our new identity. I have noticed this is especially true for students. Tonight, Pastor Danny Rangel will be talking about out “Mind on Identity” and addressing the importance of believing you are a son or daughter of God through Christ.
TODAY’S PRAYER:
– Ask the Lord to reveal any areas of mistaken identity you are wrestling with today. Who are you? (The truth is, if you are surrendered to Jesus, you are a son or daughter of the King!)
– Pray that students would grasp their true identity in Jesus tonight. Pray that any lies or obstacles that are keeping them from believing that would be torn down.
– Please pray there will be a spirit of “family” throughout Kamp. That as we all grasp our identity in Jesus, we would love one another well like brothers and sisters.
