Our Mission

is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for families with Special Needs loved ones to grow in their faith and build community.  We sings songs of worship, work puzzles, swing and laugh! Our ministry serves all ages.

Special Buddies

Is our group for children up to 5th grade with special needs.  We have a buddy room or we can also pair a child a youth or adult volunteer that accompanies him or her to their Bible study class to help them be part of a classroom during activities and transition.

Kingdom Crew

Small group Bible Study for Kingsland Student Ministry Jr High and High School ages with Special Needs. 

Taking Aim

Is our class for adults with special needs.

Sunday Morning

Our desire is for each student to hear God's word in a way that is relevant to them and to help them in their personal journey to know Jesus.

Wednesday Night Fall 2019

Parent and Caregivers gather together each Wednesday to support and encourage one another.  Speakers are generally scheduled twice a month.  Children are welcome in the buddy room, but we ask that you complete  a student information form so that we will have any important information.  Please contact Nancy Butschek nbutschek@kingsland.org for more information and to register your child.

Upcoming speakers:

  • November 13th Robin Rettie, M.Ed., Special Education Lighthouse Learning Resources Robin has a life-long history supporting individuals with neurological and genetic differences. Her sister, Laurie Lorraine Rettie (LLR), was born with microcephaly. In her honor, Robin founded Lighthouse Learning Resources (LLR), an online business providing specialized training and services to schools and the community. Robin is a Texas certified teacher; BA in General Education EC – 8 and Master's in Special Education. Robin is committed to the success of others whose voice often goes unheard.  She will speak to the topics of Behavior - working collaboratively between home and school; is my child bad?
