The Bible says,

"In you the fatherless find compassion." Hosea 14:3
Tapestry is Kingsland's response to this call. We desire to be the hands and feet of Christ that will bring family to the home at a time.

What We Do

Our mission is to provide support, resources, and encouragement to those seeking to adopt, foster, or minister to orphans.

Over the past 11 years, Kingsland’s Tapestry Adoption & Foster Care Ministry has assisted more than 45 families touched by adoption. A total of 95 children have been placed in the homes of Kingsland families. And, we have financially assisted over 30  families with adoption and post adoption expenses. We have children at Kingsland who have been adopted from Ethiopia, Uganda, Sierra Leone, China, Russia, Ukraine, Colombia and the USA.

Global Orphan Care

We support Christian orphan care organizations around the world including:
•  Life Song Ukraine (indigenous adoption)
•  The Harbor (transition program for aged-out Russian orphans)
•  Peace Gospel International (serves orphans, child labor victims, and young trafficking survivors

Monthly WNO (Women's Night Out)

We hope you will join us tomorrow Thursday, February 3rd from 7:30 -9:30 for Women’s Night Out. Since it will be cold weather and Omicron is still rearing its ugly head, Local Table isn’t the ideal option. Instead, we have reserved a room at the church.

Kingsland Baptist Church’s Central Campus, RM C158 20555 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX 77450
Here are directions and a map to the room  –

  • Enter through the main entrance off of Kingsland Blvd (across from the Taylor High School tennis courts)
  • Walk straight back until you hit a wall, turn left
  • You'll see a sign above you that says "The Courts", turn right
  • Go all the way to the back along a wall, on the right is the entrance to C158. If this feels like a scavenger hunt, you're probably on the right path.

All are welcome, no matter what part of the of adoption or foster care journey you are on. Don't let being late or needing to bring your dinner stop you. We are the most laid-back group ever. The more the merrier! Looking forward to it. Contact Amber Robinson ( for more information.

Weekly Parent's Care Group

Over two years ago, Kingsland started a weekly parent's care group on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6 until 7:30 pm in Room C-235 at Kingsland's main campus. There is children's programming available for birth - 12th grade.

We understand that at times, adopting and foster families may feel overwhelmed or isolated during the process and afterwards. One of the most effective ways for families to receive the support they need is by joining a care group. This group will offer families a way to connect with others, receive encouragement, and enjoy other benefits that make the adoption experience easier. We need families in all stages of adoptions from first starting to get encouragement but also empty-nesters who could be a mentor to others.

We have a great lineup for the SPRING 2022: If you would like more information, contact Robin Espey at or check out our Facebook page - Kingsland Adoption Tapestry Ministry for updates.
