The Bible says,
"In you the fatherless find compassion."
Tapestry is Kingsland's response to this call. We desire to be the hands and feet of Christ that will bring family to the orphan...one home at a time.
What We Do
Our mission is to provide support, resources, and encouragement to those seeking to adopt, foster, or minister to orphans.
Over the past 10 years, Kingsland’s Tapestry Adoption & Foster Care Ministry has assisted more than 60 families touched by adoption. A total of 75 children have been placed in the homes of Kingsland families. And, we have financially assisted 27 families in the Katy area. We have children at Kingsland who have been adopted from Ethiopia, Uganda, Sierra Leone, China, Russia, Ukraine, Colombia and the USA.
Global Orphan Care
We support Christian orphan care organizations around the world including:
• Life Song Ukraine (indigenous adoption, transition homes, sustainable business, Constant Christian Presence orphanage program)
• The Harbor (transition program for aged out Russian orphans)
• House of Blessing (Bangkok prison & orphan ministry)
• Martha’s House & Agnes’s House (South African preschool and after school program for orphans and at-risk kids)
• Peace Gospel International (serves orphans, child labor victims, and young trafficking survivors)
Tapestry Women's Night
*PLEASE NOTE* We now meet at Kingsland Baptist Church in the A-Conference Room (entrance #1 in the front). The entire ministry is open to everyone, period! The more the merrier.
Tapestry Women's Night Out (Adoption & Foster Care)
September 5 at 7 PM at KINGSLAND
We know that women who are in the process of adoption, no matter where they are along the journey, desire to be connected with other women. This is a great place to meet other adoptive moms, get many of your questions answered by women who have walked that road before you and to just be encouraged. You do not need to be a member of Kingsland to attend. Invite other adoptive moms to join us for dessert and coffee. For more information, contact Robin Espey at 281.492.0785 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
In September, our Guest Speaker is David Martin. Licensed Professional Counselor, MA , LPC-S. David is a well-known expert in counseling and mental health services for children, families, couples and adults struggling with behavioral, emotional or relational issues. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Approved Supervisor in Katy, TX. He is fully bilingual (English/Spanish)
Parents Care Group - Meets Weekly
Begins September 4 - December 4 from 6-7:30 PM
An adoption support group can be a wonderful resource for parents at any stage of the adoption journey. The Kingsland Care Group provides encouragement, resources and education to it's members on a weekly basis, for free! Members are able to learn, engage and explore issues they may have in common while their kids enjoy the free childcare at our facility. We encourage couples, single parents, and parents in waiting to attend. For more information, please contact Robin Espey at email@example.com

We honor Jesus when we care for "the least of these" in our society (Matthew 25:40). Two ways to do this are through foster care and adoption. Come learn about the biblical basis of adoption and foster care, the orphan crisis, myths and realities of adoption and the different avenues to adopt. Presenters Randall & Amber Robinson are members of Kingsland and its Tapestry Adoption Ministry and adopted their sons from foster care in 2015 and 2017. To register, click here.
