English as a second language Classes
Kingsland Baptist Church offers English as a second language courses. These courses will help people who speak other languages use English and develop their communication skills. Click below and choose the class that best fits your life.
Comprehensive English courses (reading, listening, writing, and speaking).
Monday morning – January 22 – May 13, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.: Level 2, 3 through advanced 1 and 2 levels
Tuesday morning – January 23 – May 14, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.: by invitation ONLY
Tuesday night – January 9 – May 14, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.: Intro English Class: Beginning English students only (for all languages)
Class is $30 per semester (materials included)
Thursday morning Phonics Class – January 25 – May 16, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.: NEW STUDENT ONLY
Phonics class helps students learn the relationships between the letters and the sound of English language. During class time, we will have grammar activities, word building, and practical conversation/interaction.
Class is $30 per semester (materials included)
ENGLISH CONVERSATION PRACTICE Program
January 15 – May 3, 2024 Monday-Friday @ Central Campus
- Helps you practice and improve your English through conversation
- 1-to-1 setting
- Meet weekly for one hour with an assigned volunteer
- Bible reading text
- Gain a new friend!
