Affinity – A Support Group For Men

Tuesday Nights •  7:00 - 8:30 pm • Room C258

Affinity is a support group for men who struggle with the inability to connect well with others in the way God designed all humans. This incapability manifests itself through things like isolation, powerlessness over sexual compulsions, avoidance of love and immoral relationships. These behavioral problems are recognized as being sourced in the designed-in need for intimacy that all humans have and that has been distorted by sin.

At Affinity, we expect to see men who:

•  Struggle with sexual aspects of relationships.
•  Avoid loving their wives – even though they want to love them.
•  Have had long-term affairs, both sexual and emotional.
•  Can’t shake their pornography habit.
•  Don’t have truly close friends, and tend to isolate.

Affinity meetings are open and free to attend.  No pre-notification is necessary to attend, just show up. For information, contact Doug Valot at

Hope Unshakeable

Bringing hope and healing amidst the loss of a child
September 4 – October 16
Wednesday Nights • 6:00 - 7:30 pm • Room C240

Hope is something that we cannot live without. It is essential to life, yet so many families find themselves in the seemingly hopeless situation of trying to put back to together the pieces of their broken lives in the aftermath of the death of a child. Hope Unshakeable is a seven-week Bible study that helps these child loss families establish and strengthen the deep roots needed to walk their grief journey. It is also a time for them to be able to connect with other families who are walking the same grief journey. Many families feel alone in the aftermath of child loss; it doesn’t have to be that way. Come join us for seven weeks of truth, tears, laughter, and triumph as we walk together on our grief journeys. Led by: Jeff & Mackenzie Rollins, Founders of Hope Family Care. No cost. More info - See session topics and more about Hope Family Care.

Tapestry Adoption Ministry - Parent's Support Group

For adopting and foster families

Wednesday Nights • Spring and Fall • 6:00 to 7:30 pm • Room C239

We understand that at times, adopting and foster families may feel overwhelmed or isolated during the process and afterwards. One of the most effective ways for families to receive the support they need is by joining a support group. This group will offer families a way to connect with others, receive encouragement, and enjoy other benefits that make the adoption experience easier. Facilitated by Robin Espey.

Tapestry Adoption Ministry - Women's Support Group

Women who are in the process of adoption/foster or who have adopted a child can benefit greatly by connecting with other women who are on a similar journey. Join us as we gather to encourage one another, learn from one another’s journey and get many of our questions about foster/adoption answered by those who have fostered or adopted a child.

* The group meets the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.  For more info, contact Robin Espey at 281.492.0785 or
