The Recreation Ministry of Kingsland is excited to announce our 11th season of Upward Basketball. Upward is for Boys and Girls in Grades Kindergarten through 6th. Upward Basketball provides a fun environment built around healthy competition for kids, teaching skills for the sports arena and values for life. Upward Basketball offers competitive games through balanced talent on each team. The unique substitution system that it offers is designed to provide every child equal playing time, along with competing against an equally matched opponent. Children are equipped with the athletic skills needed to participate at the next level and provided an experience that improves skills and builds healthy self confidence.

Register online or complete a form available in the Recreation Ministry office or around the Kingsland Campus. All games are played on Saturdays, and run for one hour. The league begins practice the week of March 7 with each player participating in only one practice per week lasting one hour. Each participant will need to attend one evaluation during the specified times listed on the registration form in February.

All participants receive an Upward uniform, consisting of shorts, a reversible jersey and a T-shirt. Special recognition after every game is given to players along with an award at the end of the season. Sign your child/children up today!
