Katy is one of the fastest-growing communities in the nation. The particular growth of Katy north of Interstate 10 and west of the Grand Parkway presents us with one of the most strategic locations for reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. What once were rice fields are now fields ripe for spiritual harvest as thousands of families move into new neighborhoods. Starting a multi-site campus in this part of our community will enable us to continue our strategy of reaching ten thousand homes for Christ.
An Amazing Leadership Team
Our multi-site staff will serve at our second campus on Sunday mornings and office at our Nottingham campus during the week. They will oversee the planning and implementation of our mid-week programing and other initiatives for our multi-site campus.
A Simple Name
We will refer to our new campus as Kingsland at Bethke as we will be meeting at Bethke Elementary. We will refer to our main campus as Kingsland at Nottingham.
A Temporary Home
We will meet at Bethke Elementary School until the first phase of our new campus is built. The first phase will be part of a master plan for a beautiful and inviting campus at the corner of Stockdick and Porter roads.
Programming for All Generations
We will launch our services at Bethke in the fall of this year. We will begin with 9:30 AM worship. Because of limited space, we will not offer any on-campus Community Groups for adults. We will, however, provide a full slate of pre-school, children, and student programming.
We encourage all children, beginning with first grade students, to join their parents during the music portion of our worship. We will then dismiss all students to their respective classes for a time of teaching while the adults remain in the worship center for the message and response time. A certain times of the year everyone will remain in the worship for the entire service. Our morning service and classes will end at 11:00 AM.
A New Home for Adults
Our adult Community Groups will meet in homes during the week. We will train our home group leaders over the summer and launch our home groups in the fall. Each group will determine their respective meeting times.
A Whole-Church Connection!
Yes. Everything that Kingsland offers during the week will be available to all members regardless of where they attend worship. Please note that we will not offer mid-week programming at Bethke Elementary.
New Leadership Opportunities
We need you! We are working hard to staff various leadership positions including opportunities to serve in our pre-school, children, and student classes. We also have needs for volunteers to assist with Sunday morning set-up at the school, parking lot teams, hospitality, guest connections, and more.
An Exciting Launch
We have several things to do during the summer to get ready for our fall launch. We will build community with our launch families by having meals and "hang time" together. We will also train volunteers for their new roles and encourage participation in our outreach events in the Ventana Lakes and Kings Crossing neighborhoods, including neighborhood prayer walks.
